Taking a digital shot of an important piece of information as proof or as for other needs has become a trend today. That is why the capability of being able to do a screenshot on any device has been mandatory.

One of the reasons is that a Chromebook is more budget-friendly compared to other options like a MacBook or a Windows Laptop. The apps that you can use will depend on what’s available for you in the Google Play Store. Chromebooks run on the Google OS and the device can be used for tasks like watching movies, playing games, and using the internet.
Taking Screenshots
There are two different ways to Take screenshot on chromebook – full screen or just the specific portion of the content. So if you want to know how to each of these processes right, then you have come to the right place.
- Full Screenshot. If you need to take a screenshot of the entire content, you have to find the Switch Window button. This can be found with the buttons on the top row, just between the Fullscreen and the Brightness buttons. Then to capture, use the shortcut – Ctrl + Switch. Once the screenshot is taken, the thumbnail will appear at the bottom-right corner of the screen. Click it if you want to go directly to the folder where it was saved.
- Specific Portion of the Content. If you don’t need the entire content and just the portion of it, you can prefer to do this as well. Press the Ctrl + Shift at the same time, then press the Switch Window button. Expect that the screen will dim down and the curser symbol will change to a crosshair. Use this to go to where the starting point of the area to capture then drag it down to the opposite corner to create a box. Inside the box should be the content that you want to capture.
Having the options to take a screenshot of just the needed portion of the content or the entire full screen gives more advantage to the user. It is more convenient since there’s no more need to edit out or change the settings on the device to do this. The process is pretty straightforward and easy to do even for those individuals who do not consider themselves ‘techy’ with modern technology.
